Reserving early means more than getting Kirby first. First cohort members get launch pricing locked in, priority shipping, and direct access to the founders during early access — so the product gets shaped, in part, by you.
What you're paying for. A $20 deposit reserves your place in our first launch cohort. It is not payment for a finished product. Kirby is still in development.
Refunds. Your deposit is fully refundable at any time, for any reason, until your Kirby device ships. Email hello@meetkirby.com and we'll refund in full within 5 business days.
What we promise. We'll keep you updated as Kirby develops. When we open ordering, you'll get first access and our best launch pricing. Your $20 will be credited toward your first order, or refunded — your choice.
The device. Kirby is built on proven hardware — a high-quality Chromebook — with our custom Kirby operating system layered on top. That means the same reliability and battery life you'd expect from a well-known laptop brand, paired with a calm, voice-first interface designed specifically for older adults. Final hardware specifications (display size, storage, processor) will be confirmed before launch and shared with reservation holders first.
What it will cost. We're still finalizing launch pricing, but here's the current plan: a one-time device cost in the range of $200–$250, plus a monthly subscription starting around $30–$50 that covers the AI assistant, scam protection, family help network, and ongoing software updates. Final pricing — and any first-cohort discounts — will be confirmed before we open ordering. Your $20 deposit applies toward either component, and remains fully refundable until you accept your final pricing at launch.
Timing. We're targeting our first shipments for late 2026, but as with any new product, this could shift. We'll be honest about it. If you ever want out, you can have your deposit back, no questions.
